Following the Town Advisory Planning Committee rejection of the Bellway speculative application for Home Farm, we understand that the rewrite of the Neighbourhood Plan has also removed Home Farm from site selection within the rewrite.
While this is encouraging news, there is a long way to go to get this speculative application rejected permanently. However, well done to the Town Council for taking the stand they have, including rejecting other speculative developments like Ashley Combe, Damask Way and Westbury Road which they have also taken a firm stance against. Please also be aware that our MP, Andrew Murrison, has formally objected to the speculative development on the 21st of June.
EBBRAG has hired a well known local Planning Consultant to firstly object on our members behalf to Wiltshire Council and then if necessary represent us at any future appeal that may occur.
Can I encourage all to object on the council application website – link here – at present we have some 459 objections but we were hoping for nearer a 1,000 mark. Public opposition plays a huge part in the Planning Officers/ Committees decisions – we need more – relatives, neighbours, friends, etc – it is up to you to object – my family have now objected on different topics several times!!

For example, recently on Home Farm land I came across a common lizard, the skin of a grass snake and a slow worm.
